A Pictorial Look at Fort Point Open Studios

(Photographer Duncan Pollard‘s adorable pup, Nelson)

I have been attending the Fort Point Open Studios for many years, but this was my first year as a member of the community.

Over 150 artists opened their doors and it was great to see what my neighbors have been working on.

..Aand what their spaces looked like.

Organ pipes in a vase? I might have to steal that one.

To learn more about the artists who participated, check out my 2010 Fort Point Open Studios recap.

After all the doors were closed, and the plethora of wine stained dixie cups had been cleared away, and I went back to being able to use the freight elevator without worrying about strange dirty fingered children pressing all the buttons..I realized I may have caught the Open Studios bug.

So who knows, maybe I’ll participate next year. It depends how much work I end up getting done in 365 days, and if I can make my way over to Costco for gallons of sangria and Utz party mix.

Hostess with the most(est).
