IAI 2015: Soundscapes

This Saturday August 8th, as a part of the Isles Arts Initiativelocal curator, arts advocate, and elusive chanteuse, Leah Hennessy will be bringing the melodies and movements of our region’s most talented performers to Spectacle Island for Soundscapes, a one-day, site-responsive, do-not-miss musical celebration!

Overview:

Explore Spectacle Island with your ears and discover musical performances set atop the tallest point in the Harbor Islands, and alongside sandy beaches. Soundscapes brings together Boston-area musicians and performing ensembles for an afternoon of acoustic performances across Spectacle’s terrain. Classical chamber music meets the sounds of the Inner Harbor, folk and bluegrass melodies float on the breeze, and a parade of dancers and brass musicians provide a riotous finale out to sea.

Soundscapes is the musical component of SEEN/UNSEEN, a series of curated performances and ephemeral experiences where audiences are invited to wander and roam unburdened by rules and structure. SEEN/UNSEEN is presented by the Isles Arts Initiative. Curated by Leah Hennessy”
