Quick post, the internet was abuzz last night about The Simpsons’ opening couch sequence directed and storyboarded by Banksy
I’m actually a bit surprised this is the direction he decided to go. Well, not TOO surprised. I figured there would be dark undertones, but given the opportunity-I thought there would be a few more elements of quirk or references to HIS work aside from the rats and a few random tags.
Usually I look at his subversive work and think “yeah Banksy! way to be”, but this opening has left me scratching my head. Maybe it isn’t the right platform?
Regardless, I have the day off! Taking the animal for a joyride in the Zipcar today, and will return tomorrow.
