I love the drawings of Canadian artist, Nimit Malavia. He imbues so much character, passion, and energy into each of his pieces.
It’s almost as if the moment he captures, tells an entire story.
Additionally:
1.) I loved sifting through his blog. full stop.
2.)He scans his sketchbooks. I always like seeing the process and what inspires artists enough to hash out their ideas on paper. I wonder if toting around a sketchbook encourages you to be more aware of your surroundings, or if it becomes like dental floss…you get all gung-ho about it, that you’re going to do it 8x a day and be a model citizen..and then end up letting it rot in your medicine cabinet(until a week before your next checkup). Sorry Dr. Share!
Malavia groups his sketches by year, so you can really see how he evolves, develops his skill, and translates observations.
And NO, I wasn’t being selectively schwoopy with the pictures I shared, it just so happens that the majority of his work errs on the side of romantic.
Especially dissa one:
love is in the aiiirrr..♥
